Hey there, I’m Dr. Naz — mental health therapist, keynote speaker, and Chief Operating Officer of Different Spectrums, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent communities, especially within Black and Brown populations.
For over eleven years, I’ve worked as a therapist specializing in autism, ADHD, trauma, and the lived experiences of BIPOC individuals and student athletes. As an autistic and neurodivergent clinician myself, I bring a level of understanding, cultural context, and lived empathy that traditional therapy often lacks. My work is rooted not just in my doctorate and clinical training, but in my upbringing in Flint and Saginaw, Michigan — communities that taught me resilience, humor, and how to show up authentically for others.
Clients come to me for many reasons: clarity, support, accountability, healing, or simply to be seen. I blend evidence-based strategies with real-world understanding, and I’m known for helping people feel safe enough to laugh, cry, question, and grow. Whether you’re BIPOC, neurodivergent, navigating college life, managing athletic pressure, or unpacking identity and masking — I meet you exactly where you are and help you get where you want to go.
Beyond the therapy room, I’ve become a national voice in autism and neurodiversity. I’ve delivered keynote speeches at major conferences, trained school districts and counseling centers across the country, spoken to the Indianapolis Colts about mental health, and guest lectured at multiple universities. My goal is always the same: to educate, empower, and shift how the world understands neurodivergent minds.
I also co-run one of the top neurodivergent podcasts in the world, Different Spectrums Podcast, with an audience of over forty thousand listeners. It’s a space where humor, healing, media, and mental health collide, giving people community and context for their experiences.
At the heart of it all, this work is my purpose. My clients will tell you that therapy with me is different — I show up fully, I support fiercely, and I’m right there with you through every win, setback, breakthrough, and moment of self-discovery. If you choose to work with me, I’m honored to be part of your journey.
Outside of sessions, you’ll catch me on the basketball court, in the gym, doing yoga, or learning how to golf and fish. I’m also a proud collector of half-finished books and comics, and I love winding down with a good comedy on Netflix, Disney Plus, or Hulu.
Welcome to the Different Spectrums family. I’m excited to see where we can go together.

Dr. Zerka is a wonderful therapist, and I have been seeing him for a few years now. He is warm, open and compassionate in every session. He actively listens with keen attention to detail, and provides empathy and care where needed. He provides good insights and tips to help gain agency and independence in addressing my issues. I feel confident recommending Dr. Zerka to anyone seeking therapy.

I was lucky to have nazeer as my first therapist. He was very good in listening and engaging with my problems. He was very kind and supportive. I felt many times that he sympathized with my issues personally as if it was his own problems. He used to give me extra time in every session just because he genuinely cares. I am glad that I met him and definitely would recommend him for other clients.

Naz is a great therapist! I feel like he understands my stressors and helps me to see what’s underneath them. Naz has a way of categorizing things in such a way that it forces me to see a thing from a different perspective. I wouldn’t trade Naz for another therapist, he is the best! I appreciate his dedication to his craft and patients.

Nazeer is like a deep breath of fresh sanity if our brain could breath

Nazeer is a consummate professional who shows genuine care when working with clients. He also does a great job of putting you at ease with the counseling process. He is a strong active listener and is able to quickly process voluminous input to provide salient and relevant insights to aid the healing and growth processes. I am glad we met.

I wouldn't want anyone elese. So glad we were matched.

Naz was not my first therapist with BetterHelp, he was my third, and I wish I had been able to work with him from day one. He immediately made me feel at ease and established a comfortable and respectful rapport. He is an active and compassionate listener and I always felt safe and validated when sharing with him. He is the type of therapist that not only helps you discover the root of your struggles, but helps you find ways to cope and overcome them, and alter a self-deprecating mindset into an empowering one encouraging self-love and acceptance. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is struggling with or questioning their ADHD / ASD. You will not find a better advocate for your mental health.
